Positions: Most positions will commence June 2011, until mid to late September, 2011 – depending on snow conditions and guest occupancy.

Salary: Most staff will be employed on a casual basis and as a casual employee you will not be entitled to annual leave or sick leave. The rate of pay will be as per the Hotel award with a trial period of 3 months, as recommended by the Australian Hotels Association.

Accommodation: Twin share accommodation is available; each room has a bunk bed and private bathroom.  The hotel can supply a pillow and ‘single doona’ and you will provide your own linen and towel, as well as all your personal needs. The meals supplied in your board consist of a continental breakfast, sandwich lunch, cooked dinner at a rate of $165 per week. Staff will pay a bond of $150 per person on arrival to the hotel. All employees will be expected to arrive at work in clean and ironed clothing and well presented. No facial piercings permitted while on shift (other than one earing in each ear lobe). You will not be permitted to commence your shift after drinking alcohol & we do not tolerate any employee taking illegal drugs.

Uniform: The Hotel will provide a uniform shirt that must be worn in a clean and ironed condition to each shift. You will need to provide black trousers or a skirt & black shoes, unless you are in the kitchen where appropriate uniforms will be required.

Qualifications: All positions in the restaurant or bar require the employee to hold both a NSW RSA and Food Handlers certification.

Positions for the 2011 Ski Season.

Personnel with the highest qualifications will be given preference in employment. You may be asked to work in other areas if necessary as we always work as a team. You must be prepared to work hard as this is a REAL job. Skiing and Boarding are encouraged but your first priority is your job.

  • Reception & Reservations: Commence 19/6/11 – Conclude 12/9/11. Previous experience with Guest Centrix and Excel would be advantageous. Greeting guests on arrival, Check-in and check-out of guests, taking telephone bookings. Previous Front Desk and cash handling experience essential.

  • Front Desk/Porter: Commence 19/6/11 – conclude 12/9/11. Greeting guests on arrival, Check-in and check-out of guests. Previous Front Desk and cash handling experience essential. Handling guests’ luggage to and from rooms, keeping the car park clear of rubbish. Moving and parking cars. Some heavy work involved. Must be keen, enthusiastic and guest oriented.

  • Night auditor: Previous experience with Guest Centrix and Excel would be advantageous. 5 shifts are 7pm – 1am, 1 shift is an afternoon shift. Greeting guests on arrival, Check-in and check-out of guests, taking telephone bookings. Previous Front Desk and cash handling experience essential.

  • Kitchen Hand: Commence 10/6/11 – Conclude 24/9/11.All aspects of kitchen cleanliness. Previous kitchen hand experience is essential. Applicant must have a current food handler’s certificate

  • Food & Beverage attendant: Commence 10/6/11 – Conclude 24/9/11. Must have 2 years experience in restaurant/hotel dining rooms. Keen well presented and enthusiastic. Must hold NSW RSA certificate. Some housekeeping duties on change over days may be required by all staff.

  • Bar Staff: Commence 10/6/11 – Conclude 24/9/11.Minimum of 2 years previous bar experience and NSW RSA are essential. Some cocktail knowledge is an advantage.

  • Cleaner: Commence 19/6/11 – Conclude 24/9/11.Cleaning all public areas of the hotel. Cleaning experience essential.

  • Assistant Housekeeper: Commence 19/6/11 – Conclude 12/9/11.Previous experience as a supervisor an advantage. Successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills with an eye for detail. Responsible for laundry stocktaking and room maintenance.

  • Room attendant: Commence 01/6/11 – Conclude 24/9/11. All aspects of cleaning hotel rooms. Friendly and courteous manner with an eye for detail.

  • Cellar/ Storeman: Commence 19/6/11 – Conclude 12/9/11.  Previous cellar duties essential.  Tasks include beer line cleaning, stock control, gas monitoring as well as some bar shifts so a NSW RSA also required.
