Staff accommodation is on-snow, just across from Front Valley. That means no travelling to work and no travelling up the mountain to ski on your day off!
Your weekly board includes all of your meals. Breakfast and lunch provisions are stocked in the staff room, and dinner is prepared by the chef each night.
To help you make the most of your season in the snow, we roster our staff to ensure that you have the opportunity to get out and enjoy yourself and discover Perisher Valley.

In addition to this, you will be able to commit to working full time between mid-June and the end of September.
Most positions will commence June 2013, until mid to late September 2013. Due to the nature of the ski industry, start and finish dates will be dependent on the snow conditions and guest occupancy.

Staff will be employed on a casual basis and remunerated as per the Hotel Award.
For the 2013 season, the following opportunities are available:
Front Desk Positions - position filled
All team members of the Front Desk will responsible welcoming our guests upon arrival, responding to guest enquiries, following check-in and check-out procedures and taking telephone bookings.
Previous experience working on a hotel front desk and accurate cash handling is essential. Knowledge and use of Guest Centrix and Microsoft Excel is an advantage. To join this team you will be guest-orientated, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our guests have a memorable experience.
" Our most important job, you are my first contact with our guests and the last to bid farewell – you are my representative at all times" (Ann Smith, General Manager ) In addition to assisting the Reception & Reservations team, you will provide the porter service. This includes handling guests' luggage to and from rooms, moving and parking cars, ensuring the professional presentation of the hotel and assisting with daily errands. Previous Front Desk and cash handling experience essential. Due to the nature of this position, knowledge of manual handling techniques is required.
Clancy's Dining Room
Clancy's Dining Room serves guests for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a full buffet including continental selection, fresh fruit, a hot buffet, tea/coffee and juices. Dinner service is a three-course set menu with full table service. Our Dining room team have the most contact with our guests during their stay at The Man. Most all guests will be with us for 5 days, they will know you by name and you will representing our hotel each morning at breakfast with a friendly and happy manner. You will also end their day with a wonderful meal and attentive service. Our hotel's reputation for serving delicious, hearty and first rate cuisine is second to none in the Mountains.
As part of a small team, our chefs work together to deliver cuisine of the highest standards to our guests. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality food in fast-paced kitchen environment and formal qualifications are required.
Food & Beverage Attendants
Food & Beverage Attendants will be responsible for providing friendly and professional table service during breakfast and dinner service. A minimum of 2 years experience in restaurant or hotel dining rooms is required, in addition to a NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and a Food Handling certificate. High standards of presentation and grooming is a must, as is your enthusiasm for providing exceptional service.
Additional shifts in housekeeping are available on change over days, and may be required by all staff.
Kitchen Hand - position filled
Kitchen Hands assist our team of chefs by ensuring all aspects of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene prior to, during and after service times. Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand is essential, as is a current Food Handling Certificate.
The Overflow Bar and Banjo's Cocktail Bar
The Overflow Bar is the public bar and is the venue for regular entertainment on the mountain.
Banjo's Cocktail Bar, located adjacent to Clancy's Dining Room, provides a relaxed environment for guests to wind-down after the day and serves our guests throughout dinner service.
All bar positions require a NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and a Food Handling certificate.
A minimum of 2 year's experience working in a fast-paced bar and cash-handling is required. Applicants with previous experience in cocktail preparation will be highly regarded.
Cellar/ Storeman - position filled
The main responsibilities of the Cellar/Storeman include stock control and inventory (in conjunction with the Bar Manager), maintenance of beer lines and gas monitoring. In addition to this, the Cellar/Storeman will also undertake some bar shifts. Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
Housekeeping and Maintenance - position filled
Housekeeping and Cleaning/Maintenance staff are responsible for the professional presentation of guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. Attention to detail, and a friendly and courteous manner are essential for all positions in Housekeeping and Cleaning/Maintenance.
Room Attendant - position filled
Room Attendants ensure a pleasant stay for all of our guests through the immaculate presentation of guest rooms upon arrival and through daily servicing. Previous experience is preferred, however an eye for detail and a hardworking attitude will ensure your success
